The iconic interior stairways, best known for the Wannabe video of the Spice Girls, make the St. Pancras Renaissance one of the most famous hotels on Instagram.

The St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel is located in the heart of London along the Euston Road, and is a Victorian masterpiece, recently restored . Sir John Betjeman, a passionate defender of Victorian architecture, had called this gothic treasure as ” too beautiful and romantic to survive in a world of cement and skyscrapers.”  In 1935, this luxury hotel then called Midland Grand Hotel, had closed after more than sixty years of activity.

The hotel was born in 1873, in front of the newly built railway station of St Pancras, one of the most beautiful stations in Europe and best known for the famous Harry Potter track. It was just a railway company that called for a competition to design a hotel to be built next to its train station under construction.
The east wing was opened in 1873 and the rest followed in the spring of 1876. The hotel was full of expensive refinements, including a grand staircase, rooms with gold leaf walls and a fireplace in each room.
